How do you get to our condo in the Okaloosa Island - Destin - Ft. Walton Beach area?


The Emerald Coast of Florida is easily reached from Highway 10, the main east/west route with the major north/south routes being Interstates 85 and 65. From I 10, Take either exit 14 at Defuniak springs/Freeport to Hwy 331 S to US 98 or Exit 13/Hwy 285 in Niceville, go S on MidBay Bridge to US 98 or Exit 12/Hwy 85 to Eglin AFB to US 98 or Exit 9/Hwy 87 in Navarre to Hwy 98 East. The beaches of Destin, Fort Walton and south Walton County are close and easy. An excellent network of highways provides access to the beach. The main East/West route is Interstate 10, with the major North/South routs being Intestates 85 and 65. Many highway travelers also make use of a number of connecting highways such as highway 331 from Montgomery, 431 from Columbus, Georgia, 78 from Memphis to Birmingham, 49 from Jackson to Hattiesburg to U.S. Highway 98 which runs directly along the Gulf of Mexico.

Okaloosa Regional Airport is located eight miles north of Destin - Fort Walton Beach - Okaloosa Island on State Highway 85. Destin Airport, in the heart of Destin, is a public general aviation airport for private and small charter aircraft. Panama City Beach is also convenient for flights and Southwest now services PCB.
