Age Requirement - We are unable to rent to vacationing students, or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. We are unable to rent to chaperoned groups. Average Temperature - What is the average temperature during the time of year that I want to be at the beach? Beach Access - Our condo is located directly on the beach with a wooden walkover for beach access. Beach Flag System - What do the flags on the beach mean to myself and my family? Beach Service - There is an optional chair and umbrella rental service available on the beach. In addition, you are welcome to bring your own too. Cancellations - Cancellations made more than thirty days prior to check-in will forfeit $50. Cancellations made within thirty days of check-in will forfeit the $350 deposit. Check In - 3:00 PM Check Out - 10:00 AM - cleaning crew arrives promptly at 10:15 AM - so make sure to be clothed and out the door (... oh the stories our maid can tell!!!) Convenience Store - There is a Tom Thumb convenience store located just steps away from the condo on Santa Rosa Blvd - great for newspapers and snacks. Cleaning Fee - There is a $50 cleaning fee in addition to the rental. This $50 is taken from the $350 deposit. Current Weather - What are the current weather conditions at the condo? Deposit - What type of deposit is required? A damage deposit of $350 is required, however this deposit is not applied to the rent. After your departure, $300 of the damage deposit will be refunded provided the keys are returned and the condo and contents are left in good shape. The remaining $50 is applied to the cleaning fee. Dune Restoration Project - What about those sand dunes? Elevator - Does the building have an elevator? Yes! Groceries - There is a Publix grocery store just 2 miles away. When you leave the island, turn left on Highway 98 and go over the Brooks Bridge. Immediately on your right you will find the grocery store. Hotel Tax - There is a mandatory 10% Florida Hotel Tax due in addition to the rental rate (see rental application) How many miles? - How many miles is it to our condo on the beach? Occupancy - Maximum occupancy in unit is limited to 6 people comfortably. Ocean View - Our unit is located on the 4th floor - directly on the beach - with a panoramic view of the ocean from both the living room, master bedroom and balcony. Kitchen - Our condo has a fully equipped kitchen, complete with stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal, coffee maker, toaster, waffle iron, utensils etc. An excellent way to save money over daily restaurant visits! Service - There
is no daily maid service available. Linens and bath towels are
included in the unit, but please make sure to bring beach towels,
personal soap and paper goods for your comfort. Our cleaning
crew arrives at 10:15 AM the day of your departure. Marinas - Now that I have a place to stay - is there a place for my boat? Minimum Stay - Our condo requires a 4 night minimum rental. What floor is the condo on? - Our condo is located on the 4th floor. What
is the name of your building?
- The Palms of Okaloosa Island Pool - Does the condo have a pool? Yes - the pool is located on the rear side of the building - a perfect place to get away when you need a break from the wind and the sand of the beach. Rates - What are your rates? Reserveravtions - How do I reserve my condo time? Sand - How did the sand get so white? Sand Castles - How did I build a sand castle? Sea Turtles - Beach goers - sea turtles need your help! Towels - The unit does include towels and all linens for indoor use. Make sure to bring your own beach towels! VCR - Does the unit have a VCR? Yes, there is one located in the living room. TV's are located in the living room and master bedroom. In addition, the 2nd bedroom is wired for cable, so you are welcome to bring your own TV for this room and plug in! Video Store - There are many video stores in the area, however the closest one on Okaloosa Island is located in the lobby of The Breakers. Washing Machine - Does the unit have a washing machine? Yes - we have a stackable washer/dryer unit located in the closet near the kitchen. |
